Maryann (Scandiffio) Humes is a spirited designer and entrepreneur who is passionate about creating artful accessories that truly enhance and express her customers personal style.

Born in Boston, early on Maryann developed a poignant eye for design. She was intrigued by contemporary artist Erte´and admired the works of fashion-forward designers, Betsy Johnson and Norma Kamali who were impacting the face of American style. While earning her Associate Degree in Applied Science, from Boston's Bay State College and then her Bachelor Degree in Fashion at the prestigious fashion college, The Labratory Institute of Merchandising in New York City—Maryann knew her life dream was to design. Working her way through school, she gained inspiration and knowledge from other designer mentors as they encouraged her to utilize her talents and passions in the fashion industry. There Maryann was exposed to all aspects of the design business, from production and manufacturing to sales and marketing and loved every part of it. Maryann thrived on the fast paced, ever changing fashion business. The excitement of setting new trends and adding style to our society was her calling.
In 1989, Mair Jewelry™ was born. Initially designing and marketing to college students and friends, today Mair Jewelry products can be found in over 50 fine retail stores, art galleries, on the Internet and at select fashion events though out the country. Her signature style incorporates simple design with functionality. Utilizing sterling silver, Swarovski Australian Crystals and gorgeous glass beads, her work is a delicate balance of texture, color and mixed medium. The Mair design collection includes: fashionably elegant jewelry,  handbags and hair accessories.

When Maryann is not working she's running, working out and playing golf with her new husband Bobby. Her fuel comes from learning new things, being challenged, exploring and enjoying life to its fullest everyday!
